Looking around, she watched everyone fighting what she knew was a losing battle. There was no way they would survive this insanity without a miracle. She’d been selfish putting everyone in danger like this… just so she could run away from the person that was trying to help her. Wanting the chance to apologize to Zachary, she focused back on the fight at hand.
Glancing down at Jason’s hip, she noticed the dagger she had given him and grabbed it out of the sheath. In one smooth motion, she thrust the dagger into the vampire just under the ribs. She ducked down and back just a little to avoid its claws and tilted the blade toward the heart.
