Storm nodded, “Yes, we’re done.”
Carley jerked her face out of the room before Zachary had time to spot her. She smiled as she thought about what Tiara had said… or what she hadn’t said.
Zachary turned his back on the two men and left the office without another word. Once the door was firmly closed behind him, he leaned back against the wall and glared up at the ceiling.
He needed to find out what Tiara had been thinking back at the graveyard when she’d gotten out of the car and headed toward that demon. It better not be what he was thinking or he’d teach her what it was like to play with danger… no demons needed.
Pushing away from the wall, he started across the main foyer toward the stairs with all intentions of going up to Tiara’s room and waking her up if need be to get his answers
