The whole weekend consisted of me thinking everything through and trying to come up with some sort of plan of action.
Do I listen to Ambrose? or do I do what I want and be friends with who I want?
I considered everything that Ambrose said about them. What sort of criminal things was he convinced they did?
I knew they would all skip school often but that didn't make them terrible people. I wanted to ask Ambrose what he meant, I want him to tell me everything he apparently knew but I knew that would only cause more trouble.
I eventually came to the conclusion that it would be my best interest to stay away from them. Of course I wasn't going to just suddenly ignore them all but I decided I would reject all offers of hanging out.
Surely it couldn't be that difficult to make other friends right?
I made my way down the corridor passing the other students. Where the hell is room F21 ?
I was about to ask someone for help when a recognizable face caught my attention. He towered over the secretary he was walking beside and his face looked as stern yet beautiful as ever.
What on earth are you doing here?
"You can't be f**cking serious"
I looked at the voices owner. I hadn't even realized that Rebecca was stood just a metre in front of me. She had also spotted Azande and clearly wasn't happy to see him.
"Tobias won't be happy about this... s**t, Quintan really did find a way to be around constantly" Zaid responded to her
My brother? What the heck is going on?
I watched as Rebecca and Zaid left my sight, they didn't know I had heard them speaking. There really was some sort of rivalry going on between Reid and my brother.
And I needed to get to the bottom of it.
I leant against the locker attempting to act casual as I waited for Azande to finish speaking to the teacher. As soon as they were done talking Azande turned his head to face me.
Of course he knew I was watching him.
He raised a brow as we locked eye contact. His stare was intimidating but I didn't like to back down so instead I straightened my posture and stared back.
He made his way over to me and stopped too close for my liking, he really did like to make me feel uncomfortable.
I tilted my head back slightly so I could look up to his face.
"Why are you here?"
"I would appreciate it if you would stop watching me" he stated completely ignoring my question
"Oh you mean like you're here to watch me? Bit hypocritical of you isn't it?"
He smirked and that only made me angrier. How dare he find this amusing.
"Did Ambrose make you do this?" I questioned further
"Perhaps if you wasn't so stubborn and actually listened then I wouldn't be here wasting my time having to babysit you"
"Babysit? I am not a child and I don't want you of all people stalking me. Just leave me alone Azande"
"No can do, I'm enrolled now"
When I say my eyes almost popped out of my head I'm not even exaggerating.
"What? How? You're too old to be in high school"
"You're semi-correct"
"What do you mean?"
"I am to old to be here, I'm 20 but I dropped out of high school and since I'm the only non-graduate that you're brother trusts, I'm forced back here to take care of a stupid girl"
"You're a complete and utter asshole Azande"
He smirked once again before walking past me and purposely bumping into my shoulder.
"Tell me something I haven't already heard princess" he muttered as he continued to walk away.
I shook my head in disbelief. If Ambrose couldn't trust me to make my own decisions or even attend school without being watched then I was sure as hell gonna make life difficult.
If Ambrose wanted to play games then I was in, I would play and I would win.
Game on.
