Kiro's Lightning Assault

After the fast battle, the sky had already darkened and Kiro's troops still had energy to march to the walled city of paesos. The guards of Paesos did not expect for an attack, they only had time to fall dead with the stones of Kiro's men. The small town-state had a maximum of 25,000 inhabitants, being of most Athenian and Spartan slaves which made a lot of Kiro's work and his men.

After releasing all of them and giving spears to all, now they had an allied force of more than 10000, divided between Athenians, Spartans and Macedonians.

They elected their own leaders, being them: Mengaekos Perseus (Athenian) Kleppios Ultra (Macedonian) and Korceus XI (Spartan).

The night passed and they rested well, sharing between them the guard service.

The Persians only realized that they had lost Paesos, in the middle of the next day, when the caravan with supplies did not arrive, and the messenger of the Persian commander, returned to the camp, all cut and bleeding.

Through this the Persian commander known as Nariman the dilacerator, prepared a quick response battalion, because Paesos was much more important than the Cretans thought, in it was a kidn*pped princess of the Zhou Dynasty.

Two days passed, in these two days, the Athenians took the fishing boats of the city and left, to report to Athens what had happened.

The Spartans instead, only withdrew from the city without saying anything.

The only ones who stayed to support the battle were the Macedonians, who did not want to go home with empty pockets, so Kiro did a negotiation with them, if they won this war, each would receive 250 drachmas.

There were 4000 macedonic young men, everyone decided to stay and fight.

The remaining population of the city, which now only had freemen and tribal, fully supported Polymartius forces, helping with war supplies and more men.

At the end, they had 7 thousand men ready to fight.

Kiro was incompetent, but he knew what he had to do, he also knew that if he failed he would pay for the mistake with his life.
