No one knew who was more surprised by the arrival of those bizarre Chinese ships.

The commander of the Chinese expeditionary force, Zhou Shin Lai, older brother of the princess who was also the crowned prince, had already forwarded the order that when they arrived, they would attack the Persians with fury and conviction.

Chinese warships began to rapidly approach the Persian coastal city in Syria, sinking any ships that got in their way.

In the distance, the cries of despair of civilians and soldiers could be heard sinking together with their ships.

The Cretans seeing this didn't quite understand what was going on, but instinctively they knew it was a good thing, as they needed a space of time to rest as the wear and tear mounted on men.

Seeing in the Chinese attack on the Persians an opportunity to end this b****y conflict once and for all, the Count and the entire high summit of the Hyerostratos and Archons ordered all troops, accompanied by reinforcements from the Perseus family, to attack and eliminate each Persian with a sword or spear in hand, and those who surrendered would be judged whether or not they would receive pardon (becoming slaves) or be executed immediately, and after given the directives, they took up their personal guards and advanced against the enemy in a fight that would last until the first day of the following year with the last Persian opponent being judged and eliminated.

And in the year 495 before Christ, the war over the domination of the island of Crete would end with the painful victory of the Cretans, who, tired of living under the command of others, united and rebelled against the Spartan command, who could not act for the time being, they simply declared an eternal war against the Cretans, a war without military or political weight, just to not tarnish the image of the warlike super city-state as much.

Crete had reunited in a different way than before, a congregation of city-states would hold elections every 5 years to elect new leaders of various levels, minus the Arch-Strategos (The military King-elect) who would pass elections every 15 years of reign.

The capital was still the city of Crete, but the greatest military and political power was to be found in the most feared city-state, known as Polymartius.

Thanks to Sarpi's contact with the Chinese princess, the Chinese king began to support the Military Republic of Crete economically and militarily.

What made even the Persians retreat in fear of Chinese reprisal, which had diplomatically resolved the k********g of the beloved princess.
