So after reaffirming his loyalty to the neutrals of the Count's bench, Sarpi took his guard and headed towards the capital, enjoying the landscape, traveling without any worries, after all the trip would be 4 days since they had to march and only had a cart, in which was Sarpi.
the first day had passed without any anomalies, night fell and Sarpi and his men camped out in the open.
The second day began, so they hunted some hares in the forest, made a good breakfast and continued their journey peacefully.
Another day had passed without any unusual occurrences, night fell again, the men prepared guard posts, and so another peaceful night passed.
On the third day of travel, the carriage and its escort arrived in the territory of the city-state of Lappa, so as they had a few more days of travel, Sarpi decided they deserved a decent night's sleep at an inn.
Rooms were decided, Sarpi paid for them, and he went for a light walk in the city to see what was interesting. he went to see the clay pots in a stall, ate a black lizard skewer, looked at some armor that was sold there for absurd prices.
And then night had come again.
Sarpi was returning to his room at the inn when he felt a peculiar smell and a sensation of having needles penetrating his body.
The same feeling he had when he first evolved into his current form.
Then instinctively, he began to follow the scent, almost falling into a lake that under the moonlight was blue as a violet.
He couldn't pinpoint exactly where the smell was coming from, he just knew it was there. Then remembering when he saw that bluish paste that tasted sweet, it was coming out of the ocean floor.
As Sarpi was a divine swimmer and feared nothing he might have in that lake, he simply jumped from where he was in there.
To his displeasure, there was a gigantic Nile crocodile, who, seeing that delicious dish jump right into his territory, didn't know whether to be angry or happy, since it had been some time since he had eaten an appetizing human.
