Claire Pain clouded my senses as I attempted to open my eyes. Fatigue and pain overwhelmed my body as my eyelids struggled to lift up and let me see. After a long period of struggle my eyes fluttered open and I took a few seconds to focused on the scenario in front of me. A simple hospital ward and no one present apart from me. The thought made my heart ache a little but I soon got over it as I turned my gaze to my stomach. It is flat and the indication of the arrival of my baby in the world.
