I held hands hands with Liam and Lisa and we all closed our eyes.
I opened my eyes after a while gazing at the green light emanating from our hands and heading towards Damon's chest.
Every year we can only wake him up once with the energy from our powers and I chose the birthday of the pups just to make it more special.
It aches my heart every time when Damon closes his eyes. The reluctance and despair as well the anticipation gleaming in his eyes when he closes them makes me feel extremely hurt but I can't do much since there is no way to increase the time of his consciousness.
He had told me that through out the year laying in that unconscious state , his only salvation is the time spent with us on their birthday which gives him will to live or else he would have passed away
