*Aurora's POV*
Damien didn't wait for me and strode off to the jet.
I was struggling to catch up with him, but unfortunately, I'm not as tall as he is.
When we finally got to the jet, I was panting.
"Hey, aren't you worried I might run?"
I spoke to him.
He scanned me up and down with his hawk-like eyes.
"This entire airport belongs to me, so you don't have a chance to run."
Then he ordered his men to take me to one of the cabins.
But something caught me off guard.
"Tie her up."
I turned to look at him.
"What do you mean?"
He made a sign to dismiss the guard. He looked at me again.
"What did I tell you to address me as?" he asked.
"Master."
What stupid words. I can't do that. I am not his slave.
"You think your dad did nothing wrong? You think he only owes me, and that is not enough for me to take you?" he said as he moved forward and grabbed a fistful of my hair.
"Arrgh!"
He dragged me to one of the cabins. Once we got inside the room, he threw me on the bed and locked the door.
When he looked at me again, I could see hurt in his eyes.
"You should know one thing," he said as he leaned over me.
"I own half of this country. When I speak, orders are taken."
"I won't warn you again, and if I do, it comes with a punishment, fool," he spat, and left me there, locking the door as he left.
God.
What has my dad gotten me into?
I don't even have my phone here to call for help.
Help.
Hahaha. He owns half of the city. Who would dare defy him?
I laid down and cried myself to sleep.
By the time I woke up, I found myself in another room. Spacious, luxurious, well decorated.
I looked out of the window.
_Where am I?_
A knock came from the door.
"Knock, knock. Miss, are you awake?"
"Come in."
A girl dressed in a black and white maid uniform walked in.
"Miss, the boss orders you to come and have breakfast."
She didn't give me time to argue and left.
I had been sleeping all night on an empty stomach.
I dragged myself down the stairs and almost missed my way. When I got down, I spotted him at the end of a long dining table, seated like a king waiting to be served.
He looks so handsome. If not for his approach, I would have considered marrying him a blessing.
I sighed and walked over. I pulled out a seat for myself.
"And who told you to sit? Kneel."
His deep baritone voice echoed through the big dining area.
I turned to look at him.
"I am hungry. I need to eat something."
"You pathetic fool. You are not worth more than a broomstick, and you want to eat? Get down on your knees this minute."
"What have I done wrong?"
"You wanna know? You made me wait for you to come down. As a slave, you should be here before me."
I get it now. This psycho is trying to get on my nerves.
"You don't have the right to call me a slave, because I am not."
"Well, you are. And what can you do about it?"
He said sarcastically.
Tears trickled down my face.
"I am not your slave."
"Get down on your knees, or should I make you do it?"
I looked around. All the servants were lined up at the corner, waiting for any instructions.
I didn't know what I had done, but to avoid problems, I knelt down.
"Your dad made my mom suffer. My mom came to your dad's company to take a loan, but your dad refused. Because" he paused and looked at me, "she refused to sleep with him. My mom suffered from cancer before she died. She wanted to get the loan for me to start a business and help treat her, but she died." He looked at me, his eyes filled with hatred. He dropped his fork and looked at me.
"I will make your dad pay for what he did. Now he owes me more than ten million dollars."
An evil smirk crept up his face.
He looked back at me.
"And you are the perfect way to pay me back." He paused, then continued. "I will make you work. Clean, wash, and do every f*****g thing I ask you to, starting from now."
With that, he pushed the remaining food on his plate toward me.
"That is your breakfast."
Tears kept pouring down my face.
This is one thing I don't like about myself. I cry too easily.
"I can't eat this," I said.
"There are peanuts in it, and I am allergic to them."
"Then you starve." His words were so cold.
And cruel.
He called one of the maids. She was the head maid.
"Ann." She came over with a flirty smile.
"Yes, boss?"
Damien didn't look at her and pointed at me.
"Take her to the kitchen and make her do all the cleaning and washing there."
What?
All the cleaning and washing? Alone!
The lady walked over to me.
She looked down at my kneeling position and scoffed.
"Let's go."
"You are to do all of that before I get back," he said. The maids standing at the corner gasped.
"I don't think she could finish all that before he gets back," one whispered.
"If luck is on her side, he would come back late."
"You know he usually comes back early, unless on rare occasions."
I heard them whisper.
We reached the kitchen, and the lady pushed me. I tripped and fell down, hurting my knee. I drew in a sharp breath as the pain hit me.
"What was that for?" I asked her. She looked around the kitchen. There were other servants working there.
"Everyone, you have been given the day off today by the boss. There's a slave here to do all of these chores," she said. And everyone turned to look at me.
"The boss is so generous," one said as they washed their hands. Some left, while others remained to mock me.
"I didn't wash the dishes. You should do that," one of them said.
Ann stepped forward.
"What are you waiting for? Get down to it."
She said that and pushed me forward. I fell again this time and hurt my hands.
"Oh, how pathetic. You need help," the one called Nina said and got closer.
"What's your name?" she asked me.
"Aurora."
She extended her hand to help me up, but the moment I put my hand in hers and started to come up, she pulled her hand away, and I fell again.
"Oh, such an aura."
Everyone gave a mocking laugh.
"You should know your place."
"I haven't cleaned this place yet," another said, and poured sausages on the floor.
I didn't know what to say or why they were doing that. I got up, summoning courage.
"I won't clean that."
The kitchen instantly fell silent.
