Chapter 08

AALIAYAH POV – YEAR 202

Whole time, I was there beside Aaden while his wound gets treated. I may be a skillful doctor in the year 2020. But I have no knowledge about the ancient medical treatments. Although, I searched, Fiona’s memory for any support, she’s only skilled in dancing and singing. It seems like she’s an ideal noble ancient lady. So boring!

“I’ll come to see the Prince’s wound in the evening. Allow him to rest.”

Saying that the Royal doctor leave the chamber leaving me, the Emperor and the Empress.

“Daughter, you also get some rest and not to get your wound wet.”

The Emperor said while gently rubbing on my hair.

“Your highness, I want to find the culprits who try to hurt us.”

A knowing smile comes to the Emperor’s lips.

“First, you should not call me your highness. Call me as father, like Alvin do. And I’m very proud of your skills in fighting. When you and Alvin get cured, you two can train together. And not to get tension about the Assassins. I’ll personally take care of this investigation. Only thing you two must do now is to take rest and get well soon. Your family is waiting outside. Do you want to meet them?”

“Is it okay if I meet them tomorrow?”

“Okay daughter. I’ll let them know that. Your maids are outside. You can ask their help to have a wash.”

Saying that, the Empress and the Emperor leave the room.

After having a wash with the support of the maids, I come to sleeping Aaden and sleep beside him.

AADEN POV- YEAR 202

I wake up with a pain from the left shoulder and my sleepy eyes greet with an unfamiliar surrounding. That’s when the all the things happen in past few hours comes to my mind like a scene of a fantasy. Where’s my Aaliyah? With a panic, I search for him and I feel happy to see sleeping Aaliyah besides me. Unlike yesterday, her hair is down, and she exactly looks like my Aaliyah now. I bend over her without giving too much pressure on my wounded left shoulder and kisses on her lips.

After one or two minutes, she responds to the kiss, and her arms goes around my neck. When her lips release with a capturing smile, she begins talk.

“Good Morning Hubby.”

“Good Morning wifey.”

I respond to her with a peck on lips.

“I need you. But is it okay? We are not in our original bodies.”

“I also need you. I think it will be okay. Alvin and Fiona are also husband and wife. And most probably, their souls must be in our bodies. I hope that they will not do anything that will destroy us.”

With that I make her mine again. After hours of love making, we were resting when a maid informs us about the presence of Fiona’s family. After getting washed, we two get dressed and it’s weird to ware these ancient clothes. But they look amazing on my Aaliyah.

“You look unbelievably handsome.”

Aaliyah said while making a hand sign with a circle shape by forefinger and thumb.

“Really? Then I’ll continue to wear this type of clothes when we return again.”

My words make cause her cheery expression to sad one.

“Will we ever be able to go again. I want to ask forgiveness from my parents for the hurtful things, I have said to him. I want to punish the people who make your accident and kill your parents.”

Tears begin to flow from her eyes. I can understand her feeling. I also feel the same fear. Not to see her family again, if our place is taken by Fiona and Alvin how the hell they will act in our roles. If they are now in our bodies, they’ll probably have our memories as we have theirs. But will they be able to act as us? How will be a princess work as the heiress of the Edwards hospitals and a skillful doctor? If their souls have not moved to our bodies now all the people must be thinking that and my whole empire I built, and Aaliyah entitled will be destroyed. But, I’m controlling my anxious because I the most precious thing in my life; my Aaliyah is here with me. I walk to her and hug her tightly to me.

“Everything will be okay love. As we take care of here in the place of Alvin and Fiona, let’s hope that they’ll take our place and work accordingly because it is the best option for us to survive till our destiny decides to clash us again and replace us in our original timeline. Now let’s go. We must take care the murdering attempt against us. Although, we know the culprits, we should play with them for some time. They should feel terrible to lose their nobility and lives.”

“Yes, that’s right. Let’s go.”

Saying that she takes my right hand in her left, and we walk out of the chamber. The maids who were waiting for us, direct us to another area where the Emperor, Empress, the Prime minister, Prince Brandon, Rose and her mother was in a discussion. As soon as, they see us, all their eyes were focus on our tightened hands.

Brandon, Rose and her mother’s face get fill with agitation while the other three give us an approving smile.

The prime minister run to Aaliyah and hug her while our hands are still grabbing each other.

“I’m very happy to see you like this princess. I’m was afraid to death when you ran to the middle of the battlefield. I thought, I lose you. But, I’m very proud of the way you act. You act very bravely.”

“Nonsense, is that a way a proper crown princess should act? She acted as a soldier, not as a princess. Your highness, I’m very sorry that I fail to teach her how to act as a proper princess.”

Rose’s b***h of mother says while bowing her head to the Emperor and Empress. This b***h! I’ll not allow her to criticize my Aaliyah. But before I speak, the Emperor begins to talk.

“Yes, you should apologize for your negligence.”
