The Punishment

After Mr.Ralph went out of the room in anger me and Rosa were scared to death. 

The assistant came forward and said "According to the Civil code the punishment for violence against Lords is to spend an entire year of service in the workshop without any breaks. You can start your punishment within the next week."

"Wait? what? why? Violence against Lord. I wasn't even aware that he was a Lord. I thought he was a guard". " My family also isn't aware of anything". I busted out in tears it almost felt my life was going to end. I started pleading I got down on my knees. I couldn't get hold of anything. Rosa sat alongside me and started consoling me. She was crying as well.

"Serf Rosa you have to pay a fine of 150 orions for insulting Lord and national guards." 

"This is not fair. Sir, please we beg you." Rosa pleaded. "We didn't know Mr.Shane was a Lord we weren't."

"Oh! Just shut up," said Shane. He came up close to Rosa and grabbed her by her hair and raised her. She screamed in pain. " What the f**k do you think of yourself? You bloody serfs think that you can do anything and plead your way out, well let me tell you. If it was my way I would have f****d the s**t out of you." 

"And this b***h she deserves this bloody whores." He looked at me and said " So you didn't know that I was a Lord, well now you know and you better remember," he said mockingly. I was crying continuously.

The assistant said " Serf Irene I believe you should start your punishment in the next week." and Miss Rosa you should get going to your home. "No, this is not happening, I can't let this happen. I mean this isn't fair"

She fell on Shane's shoes, "Lord Shane please, I beg you don't do this, I will go to the workshops. Anyways, I am the real culprit. Sir, please. I beg you. Let her go she is innocent". Shane kicked her off and started laughing devilishly. 

I stood up and walked up to Rosa, "Rosa please, let it go, they won't understand. Please just go, I don't want both of us to be in this mess. Someone should be out there to help brother and papa. Please just go and take care of them. Tell them about him. I am sure I can survive". I was crying in Rosa's arm when suddenly the other guy spoke. He had a deep voice the whole room suddenly became silent. 

"Okay, that's too much of a drama now. Stand up both of you," he ordered. As we stood up, he came closer to me and started checking me out from tip to toe, at that moment I felt so little. He went around me, his energy was something I had never felt before. He was much taller and broader than me. He looked and felt like a wormhole who would just eat me up. He came in front of me and grabbed my chin. He forced me to look towards his face by raising my face. This was the first time I saw his face clearly from the time I had entered the room. 

He had brooding dark brown eyes and staunch written all over his face. He had a scar around his face, which looked like a fight in war or something. I looked at his uniform his batch said his name as Colonel Apollo. s**t, he hates serf more than Americans hated communism. I was trembling the whole time. He finally went back and sat on the sofa where he was sitting.

"Well, she can work for me," he said liting a cigar. 

"What? What are you saying?" Shane questioned angrily. "She can't work for you. She is going to get her punishment." Shane looked with anger at me. 

"Come on Shane! I know you hate her, but you also know that I need a domestic worker, I am trying from months. She has perfectly functional hands, legs, eyes, ears, and mouth. She can serve me well. In the meantime, I will also make sure she understands the rules around here."

"But what about the punishment?. Can't you see what she has done with my face? Bloody w***e ."

"I know Shane I very well know that's why I suggest she works for me. The true punishment will be when these rebel rats who serve the Lords, the only way to crush their spirits. Your revenge will be taken. I will make sure she learns her lesson and place." 

His words were sounding like death. "This is not fair, her punishment is assigned". Rosa said. 

"Shut up."Lord Apollo screamed. It made me and Rosa's heart skip a hundred beats. He came rushing towards Rosa and pulled her hair " Don't you understand to not open your mouth when two Lord's are talking. You bitches do need a lesson. See this is the best deal. Your friend here will not go to the workshops and I will get a servant and once in a while, she might even see you and her family." finally leaving his hair. He is a demon

"What are you saying Apollo bro ?" Shane asked. 

Apollo took Shane in a corner.

APOLLO AND SHANE :

"What the hell are you doing?" let the b***h go to the workshop. I will get you, 100 maids, if you want." 

"Sure, you will," Apollo said. "But that will serve your revenge what about mine. She and her brother has been a problem for the Lords for many years. Making her my maid would help me to torture her and make a point all those rebel rat serfs." 

"And don't act like as if you don't know that people might escape from the workshop and go to other states. I don't want that to happen and I want to show this Irene what are the consequences of raising the hands of national guards on my boys. Don't doubt me you know how much I hate these serfs."

"By the way why didn't you give that Rosa girl punishment?" asked Apollo.

"Well that doesn't mean I am going to will her out I have certain plans of my own in mind," Shane said smirking. 

Shane and Apollo came out. 

"Well, I believe Colonel Apollo is right. This would the best anyways what work you will do in workshop. It would be better if you serve Colonel". Shane said to me. 

"Please take Rosa out and Serf Irene you may go out and sit the car, the driver will drive you first to your house and then to the Lord's house. I shall meet you there." saying this Apollo and Shane walked out of the room. 

Rosa walked out with the guards and I went and sat down in the car. I had no idea how I am going to face my brother and father.
