"First of all, close your mouth when you eat, Hu. And secondly, before you stand up like that next time, give a warning first," Sung sighed deeply, cleaning the soup that had spilled onto his robe.
"Oh… erm, sorry," Hu chuckled awkwardly, picking up another piece of meat from the large tray.
"Now, explain what you mean by the treasure breaking soon," Sung said, shifting his focus back to Mia.
"Since he came into possession of that treasure, I've had one of my shadows studying him from the shadows," Mia explained while mixing her rice and soup. "From what I’ve gathered and analyzed, that treasure will break soon."
Sung sipped his soup directly from the bowl. He exhaled with ease, white smoke escaping his mouth as he set the bowl down on the table.
"I'm still not getting you, Elder Mia," Hu commented, gulping down a jug of water.
"You're really slow, Hu," Mia mocked, giving him a powerful stare.
"Not understanding doesn’t mean I’m stupid, Mia," Hu replied, his voice turning serious.
"Just get to the point, Mia," Sung said.
She sighed. "Fine. What I mean is that he has only one more chance to cultivate with that treasure before it breaks." She took a bite of her soup and rice. "Once we’ve confirmed it completely," she continued with her mouth full, "we can plan our next move—where and when to kill him."
The room fell silent, save for the sounds of chewing, plates clinking against the table, water splashing, and the strange crackle of lightning outside.
*Once we kill him, you’re dying next, Sung. And when you’re gone, I’ll sit as the new second head of the expedition team,* Mia thought.
*Oh, foolish Mia. Once we kill Yang, I will rip your throat out,* Sung thought, a slow grin spreading across his face.
*We kill Yang, then these two fools kill each other for me. I’ll patiently wait to finish off whoever comes out alive—if one of them is victorious,* Hu thought, biting deeper into the steak-like beast meat.
"Alright, Mia. Tell the shadow to continue watching Yang closely," Sung said as he rose to his feet. He picked up a cup of alcohol and drained it dry.
"Yeah, I’ll do that," Mia responded, standing up and dusting off her robe.
"I have some beasts to hunt," Sung said, drinking another cup of alcohol before leaving the tent just as the rain began to pour like a raging beast.
"Well, I have supplies that need finding and stocking, and a boy that needs to be found—if he’s still alive." Mia swallowed a cup of water and left the tent with her hands clasped behind her back.
"Animals. Not even a simple thank you for the meal," Hu muttered as he stood up, his yellow eyes faintly glowing. "Slave!" he called.
"Yes, Elder Hu," a fair-skinned female in chains rushed into the tent. Her pupils were red, and her hair was dark like coal.
"Clean this up," Hu commanded, exiting the tent under the heavy storm.

"Ahhhhh!" Chris roared.
"Come here, you mumu dragon!" He blasted forward. [Come here, stupid dragon]
Zooooom!
The silver dragon suddenly halted mid-flight and swung its double tail at Chris with incredible speed and force.
The air solidified like crystal glass.
*Too slow.*
"Naija Heritage: Shield of Shege!"
At point-blank range, Chris summoned his shield.
Bam!
The dragon’s double tail smashed into the brownish palm shield. A massive shockwave exploded outward, spreading for miles and shattering glass and weak buildings alike.

The air quickly grew scorching hot as the dragon’s aura exploded without warning, forcing the Naija youth several feet backward.
Chris grunted, blocking his face with one hand against the intense heat and powerful energy. He smiled.
"It’s a bit tougher than it looks. Well, I have no choice then, do I?"
