After thoroughly reviewing the terms of your contract, I regret to inform you that I won’t be moving forward with the platform. Though I’m grateful for the opportunity, I have a few major concerns. The contract’s full-term rights grant is too restrictive. The limited ability to terminate and reclaim my rights, especially given the requirement to repay earnings over a 36-month period, is unreasonable—particularly when double repayment may be required for Premium Content. The intense writing schedule needed to qualify for bonuses, including 50,000 words per month and daily updates, isn’t practical for me, and the risk of another writer taking over my work is a dealbreaker. Moreover, the unclear payment schedule and lack of guaranteed financial reporting make it hard to trust that I’d receive fair compensation. The first refusal rights on future works add to my concerns, as the lack of a defined timeline makes this too risky for me. The confidentiality clause and penalties for breach are also restrictive. While the financial consequences may be less harsh than others, the overall risks to my rights and creative control are unacceptable. Thanks again for considering my work, but I have to respectfully decline for these reasons. Best regards, Lexi
