Episode 5: The Alpha’s Wrath The apartment trembled. Dust filled the air. The shattered door hung from its hinges. And standing in the entrance was Alpha Logan Blackwood. His golden eyes burned with pure fury. The Alpha aura pouring from his body was so overwhelming that the assassins struggled to breathe. Hunter’s confidence vanished instantly. Fear replaced it. “Alpha Blackwood…” he whispered. Ava stood frozen near the balcony. Her heart hammered violently. Months. It had been months since she had last seen him. Months since he rejected her. Months since he shattered her heart. And yet the moment she looked into his eyes, the mate bond stirred painfully inside her chest. Logan’s gaze immediately found her. Then her stomach. His entire body froze. The baby bump was impossible to miss now. Reality hit him harder than any punch. His child. His baby. Growing inside Ava. A wave of guilt crashed through him. How much had she suffered alone? How many nights had she cried because of him? How many dangers had she faced while carrying their child? His wolf howled in agony. Mine. Mate. Pup. Family. The realization nearly destroyed him. Then he noticed the knife in Hunter’s hand. Everything inside him snapped. “You tried to kill her.” The room became deathly silent. Hunter instinctively stepped back. Logan took one step forward. The floor cracked beneath his feet. “You hunted my mate.” Another step. The windows shattered. “You threatened my child.” Hunter suddenly realized something terrifying. The Alpha wasn’t angry. He was beyond angry. He was murderous. “Kill him!” Hunter shouted. The other assassins attacked immediately. Three wolves lunged at Logan simultaneously. The result was horrifying. The first attacker never reached him. Logan grabbed the man’s throat and slammed him into a wall. CRASH! The wall exploded from the impact. The second attacker shifted into wolf form. Logan caught him midair. Then threw him through a glass table. The third assassin managed to land a punch. A mistake. Logan grabbed his arm. SNAP! The bone broke instantly. A bloodcurdling scream echoed throughout the apartment. Ava stared in shock. She had always known Logan was powerful. But this? This was terrifying. Within seconds, three trained assassins lay broken on the floor. Hunter’s face turned pale. “Impossible.” Logan’s eyes glowed brighter. “You should have stayed away from my family.” Family. The word hit Ava like lightning. Family? Now he called them family? After rejecting her? After abandoning her? Anger surged through her. But before she could speak, Hunter made his move. The assassin pulled out a second weapon. A silver-coated blade. A weapon designed specifically to weaken wolves. He charged toward Ava. If he couldn’t escape— He would complete the mission. Ava’s eyes widened. The knife was heading directly for her stomach. For the baby. “No!” Before Hunter could reach her, Logan appeared. The Alpha moved faster than human eyes could follow. He intercepted the attack. The blade sliced across his shoulder. Blood splattered across the room. Ava gasped. Logan didn’t even flinch. Instead, he grabbed Hunter by the throat. The assassin struggled desperately. “Please—” Logan’s expression remained cold. Deadly. “You were given a chance to live.” Hunter’s eyes widened in terror. “Wait—” “Who sent you?” Silence. Hunter refused to answer. Logan squeezed harder. Bones began cracking. “Ava.” Logan never took his eyes off Hunter. “Turn away.” Ava felt chills run through her body. She knew what that meant. Hunter knew too. Fear consumed his face. “Victoria!” he screamed. “Victoria Sterling sent us!” The room fell silent. Logan’s jaw tightened. He had expected that answer. But hearing it confirmed made his blood boil. Victoria had crossed a line. She hadn’t just targeted Ava. She had targeted his unborn child. Hunter continued speaking frantically. “She said the baby couldn’t be born!” A dangerous growl escaped Logan’s throat. The entire building seemed to shake. Then Hunter made one final mistake. He smirked. “If we failed, others won’t.” Logan’s eyes became completely golden. The next second— Hunter’s scream echoed through the apartment. Then silence. Complete silence. The threat was gone. Forever. ⸻ Hours later… The police had arrived. Statements had been taken. The remaining assassins had been arrested. The danger was temporarily over. Ava sat quietly in Ethan’s living room. Her emotions were a mess. Relief. Fear. Confusion. Anger. Logan stood across from her. Neither of them had spoken much. The silence felt unbearable. Finally, Logan broke it. “You’re pregnant.” Ava laughed bitterly. “Congratulations. You noticed.” The words stung. Logan deserved that. And more. His gaze lowered. “When were you going to tell me?” Ava stared at him. Disbelief flashed across her face. “Tell you?” Her voice rose. “You rejected me.” Logan remained silent. “You chose another woman.” Still silence. “You humiliated me in front of the entire pack.” His jaw clenched. “You broke my heart.” Tears appeared in her eyes. “And now you’re asking why I didn’t tell you?” The room fell silent. Even Ethan looked away. Because Ava was right. Every word. Logan felt guilt crush him. For months he had justified his decision. The alliance. The pack. His responsibilities. But none of those excuses mattered now. Not when he looked at Ava. Not when he saw the pain he caused. Not when his child was growing inside her. “I’m sorry.” The words were barely above a whisper. Ava froze. Logan Blackwood. The proud Alpha. The strongest wolf she had ever known. Was apologizing. “I was wrong.” His voice cracked. “I thought I was protecting the pack.” Ava looked away. “I don’t care.” The words hurt more than any weapon. Because she meant them. Logan felt his chest tighten painfully. For the first time in his life… He was losing something he couldn’t fight for with strength. Trust. ⸻ That night… Ava couldn’t sleep. The baby kicked constantly. As if sensing her emotions. She placed a hand on her stomach. “What am I supposed to do?” The baby kicked again. A small smile appeared. Then she sensed a familiar presence outside. Logan. She stepped onto the balcony. The Alpha stood below. Looking up at her. Moonlight illuminated his face. For a moment, neither spoke. Then Logan slowly held something up. A small stuffed wolf. Ava blinked. “What is that?” His expression softened. “I bought it.” Ava stared. “For who?” Logan looked at her stomach. The answer nearly broke her heart. For the baby. Their baby. For months she had imagined raising this child alone. Now the father stood below her balcony holding a toy. Trying. Actually trying. The sight confused her more than she wanted to admit. “I don’t expect forgiveness.” Logan’s voice was quiet. “I just want a chance.” Ava looked away. Because part of her still loved him. And that terrified her. ⸻ Far away… Victoria Sterling watched the news report. The assassins had failed. Again. Her wine glass shattered. Her expensive desk cracked beneath her claws. Logan had found Ava. The situation was spiraling out of control. Then her phone rang. A secret contact. Victoria answered immediately. “I have a solution.” The voice on the other end sounded old. Ancient. Dangerous. Victoria narrowed her eyes. “What kind of solution?” The voice laughed. “Ava Thompson isn’t an ordinary wolf.” Victoria froze. “What do you mean?” Silence. Then the stranger revealed a secret hidden for decades. A secret powerful enough to change everything. A secret even Ava didn’t know. When the call ended, Victoria smiled. For the first time in weeks. Because she finally had a weapon. And if the secret was true… The unborn child wasn’t just Logan’s heir. The baby could become the most powerful werewolf ever born.
