Three months earlier HaleyAt her Barkville office, Haley leaned her head against the backrest, angling her face into the sunlight filtering through the high-set window. A smile tugged at her lips. Yep, she’d decided. The last puppy of a litter Barkville rescued weeks ago would go home with her tonight. For a moment, she closed her eyes and exhaled a contented sigh. Happiness.
