The sudden flash of fury in his eyes stopped me cold. It wasn't the cold calculation of a businessman anymore. It was something raw, dark, and dangerous.
"But he's—"
"I said enough! That's your master's order! "
He hold my wrist and he yanked it hard.
One sharp pull, and my center of gravity vanished. I stumbled forward, off-balance, and suddenly I was falling back. The bed caught me with a soft bounce.
Before I could scramble up, Noah loomed over me. He placed one knee on the mattress between my legs and braced his hands on either side of my head, caging me in.
"You are my woman," he growled, his face inches from mine, his eyes burning with a possessive fire that terrified me. "I don't want to hear another man's name come out of your mouth. Especially not his."
