The expensive room I was in felt like a luxurious prison, and my new phone in my hand seemed like shackles, merely giving me an illusion of freedom I thirst for.
But I knew for a fact that everything I said and did was being watched. Yet, despite it all, a kind of reckless optimism flickered within me… this small taste of freedom was the reward for my cooperation today.
