I wanted to tell him the truth. Right there, with my face buried in his chest and his arms wrapped tight around me.
Adrian is my brother. The words were right on the tip of my tongue. But I swallowed them down hard.
If I gave Noah his real name, his security team would find out everything. They would link Adrian Campbell to the Iron Vultures sooner or later.
Noah wouldn't see a sister trying to protect her brother. He would just see a spy working for his worst enemy.
I just had to find that cargo file. I could change the shipping times, mess up the route numbers, and give Adrian the fake data. That way, nobody dies. Noah's shipments stay safe, and Adrian gets what he wants so he leaves my mom and Nicole alone.
