Marshall did not put in extra time; instead, he just went with Katherine when it was time to clock out. "I remembered that you almost worked late every day before," Katherine said with a smile as they got in the car and she fastened her seatbelt. “What took place?"
Marshall froze for a moment before saying, "There was a major project earlier. It's all over now."
Katherine gave a nod. Marshall tightened his mouth and got behind the wheel. However, he wasn't always arriving late for work before. Maybe, deep down, all he wanted was to avoid seeing Katherine.
Katherine then casually removed her shoes and crossed her legs while humming a tune. Every now and then Marshall would glance at Katherine. She was now really carefree and would even move her body in time with the music.
