Hector just enquired, "Where is Katherine?"
Without seeming to be embarrassed Marshall responded, "She is out," after turning to glance outside the office but failing to notice Katherine and Peter.
“Are you in need of anything?”
After a brief period of inaction, Hector responded, "I will call her later then." He just hung up the phone after that.
Marshall stood for a minute, clutching Katherine's phone, and then laughed. Hector wouldn't be acting so composed if he hadn't disclosed his relationship to Katherine. If a woman's spouse answered her call, it would make anyone uneasy. Hector didn't, though.
It seemed to Marshall that Katherine had told him about the divorce. Then, she truly had faith in him.
