CHAPTER 15: BANQUET OF KINGS

Fitz stepped out of the shower and got dressed for his day with Cessy, He picked up his phone in order to see if he missed any call from Cessy but there were none, instead his saw an unusual notification. It was from the council of kings, it was like a place where general email about all the kingdom were been sent.

" Just when you've had enough with tradition another pops up" he said as he opened the email, his face immediately turns sour, it was the annual banquet of kings. it was a festival organized every year by different kings and this year it was to be held once again but no kingdom has stepped forward to host it.

" I'm so tired of this dumb traditions" he said as he turned off his phone, the click of the button of his phone immediately brought his attention to Keera, he walked out of his room in order to check up on her. It felt like he hadn't seen her in years, he went up to her room looking for her but she wasn't present, he then walked downstairs trying to look for her and Nanny P at the same time because they were always together.

He walked halfway through the hall, he could hear voices coming from the kitchen, he walked up to the kitchen to see Cessy and Keera cooking and playing, a smile slowly creeped on his face, his two favorite people in the world together.

" Why didn't you tell me you were here?" Fitz asked Cessy

" I wanted to make something special for you as a surprise" he lied with a nervous smile on his face.

" Don't you miss me anymore, you don't care about your brother anymore." Fitz said walking towards them

" You didn't even come to my room like before to wake your big brother" he said as he turns towards his baby sister

" Don't be stupid, That's because I want you to rest, the party took a long time to end and I wanted you to tuck me in bed but you were too busy, I'm the one that needs to feel left out" she said rolling her eyes and Fitz pulled her into a hug

" I'm sorry my queen" he apologized, Keera wrapped her tiny arm around her brother, indeed she had also miss him.

" Miss Keera" Nanny P called which made her peck her brother on the cheek, giving him a smile before leaving.

" Why are you dressed like that?" Fitz asked as he turned his attention towards Cessy who was nervous, he had never seen Cessy dressed in a turtleneck top before.

" I just felt like looking a little bit different" he lied trying to fight his urge to cry into Fitz's arm.

" In that case you look handsome in anything you wear" he said as he wrapped his hands around Cessy waist pulling him towards himself, Cessy just gave him a little smile

" Hold up, are you also wearing makeup" Fitz asked

" I just decided to try out some few products before they are launched, they've been wanting my opinion on it" he stuttered

" Really?" Fitz asked, Cessy shook his head in reply

" But you've never been interested in these kinds of things, why now?" Fitz felt that Cessy was lying to him

" About that, they've been emailing me for months now and I thought it wouldn't be any harm trying it out, what do you think does it look good on me?"

" Yes it does, you look quite handsome but I want to see the real Cessy, he's more handsome" Fitz's words made Cessy smile

" I know that but I just have to keep it on for a few more hours" he said holding his tears tighter...

" Alright, is there anything you want me to help you out with?"

" Regarding the cooking? No, I just want you to go sit down and wait for me, I'll be right out" he said pushing Fitz outside, he took a deep breath of relief as he left, Fitz on the other hand was still a bit suspicious.

Fitz sat on the living room waiting for Cessy when Zack walked in bowing down to him, he was Fitz personal adviser in the matters concerning the kingdom

" Your majesty, good morning" he greeted

" Good morning, what brings you here, we have no agenda today"

" That's true but I just came to know what you want do for your honeymoon so I can get everything ready for you and his royal Highness" he stated

" Firstly, have a seat, how many times have I told you that there is no need to be formal with me" he said as he watched Zack sit down

" I'm sorry your Highness

"

" it's alright, now to answer your question. I don't have plans on going on a honeymoon, you know very well the circumstances behind this marriage" he mentioned

" I understand that fact, but everyone outside the kingdom has no idea about this circumstances" he explained to him as he passed the tablet showing the trending headlines in other neighboring kingdoms

" Our kingdom has been one of the many kingdoms to follow each and every tradition and takes the institute of marriage very seriously, that's why if other people learns about this, it's going to get complicated."

" Why can't they just learn to mind their own business" Fitz said running his hand through his hair

" If you don't go for your honeymoon, the suspicions are going to increase as to why you would not go out with your newly wedded partner" he explained further

" What do you suggest I do because I don't feel like going on a honeymoon without Cessy and I don't think he would agree to come on a honeymoon with me"

" How about we postpone the honeymoon first, so you could have time to convince Cessy to come along with you"

" I'm listening" Fitz said sitting properly

" I suggest we hold the banquets of kings that could buy you enough time to prepare yourself for the honeymoon"

" No, hell no. I would not be hosting anything, pretending yesterday was unbearable and you want me to pretend for another week? That I will not do, never" Fitz's spoke

" My lord, that's the only option you can have to hold back on the honeymoon, I can let you talk to master Cessy for now to make sure he decides on going but that time depends on the banquet of the king, your decision should be reached before other kingdoms decide to take charge of the banquet of kings hosting" he advised, Fitz knew clearly well that Cessy would go anywhere with him except the honeymoon, he was hurt beyond repair about the marriage and now taking him and Aine on the honeymoon trip will just make his mood worse, he thought to himself as he sat staring into space.
