CHAPTER 24: SUSPICIONS

The guests kept coming in as Cessy and Aine stood talking, the entrance of the hall became crowed with servants struggling with some luggages, Aine was a bit distracted and what forced to ask out of curiosity.

" They belong to me" Theodore said as he walked towards Aine and Cessy,

" I told you not to pack so much" Thaddeus whispered, despite his brother warning Theodore had decided to do as he pleased.

" I did, and this was the only things I could packed unfortunately, thanks to someone." Theodore replied pissed, but he decided on have as much fun as he could from the banquet.

" Welcome" Aine said, trying to stop was looked like a death stare between the brothers.

" Thank you, you must be Aine, the hunk Fitz married" he complimented

" Thank you" Aine smiled nervously, these were the triplets he was warned about.

" I must say you are good looking better than in pictures, Fitz did find himself not only a good but hot man" he continued assessing Aine from head to toe, Aine was dressed in a gray tuxedo, with a white shirt that was half way opened, exposing a little bit of his chest.

" Nice to meet you Aine, I am King Thaddeus" he spoke to cut his brother before he could say anything more than he did, " Cessiar it's a pleasure meeting you here" he added, bringing Theodore's attention to Cessy who had been standing watching the entire drama.

" Oh my, Cessiar. How have you been?" he asked as he pulled Cessiar into a hug, this wasn't a surprise to Aine Because he was already aware that they all used to be friends.

" I'm doing just fine" he answered with a charming smile as usual.

" I wasn't expecting to see you here, knowing Fitz is married" he spoke, almost immediately he got a pinch from Thaddeus indicating that he should shut his mouth but Theodore wasn't done talking as he glared at his brother before talking. " And looks like you two are friends" he asked referring to Cessy and Aine who were standing together.

" Of course we are friends, Cessy is a nice person, you can hardly get on his bad side, he taught me most of things I know" Aine said as he could see the look of pain in Cessy's eyes. He was the one to be welcoming the guest, he should have been the one married to Fitz not him, he saw himself as an obstacle to the love that they both share.

" That was unexpected" Theodore said been more suspicious than ever, if Aine and Cessy are friends the only explanation was that they were all hiding something and he was prepared to get to the bottom of it.

" Cessy" called out a voice, it sounded strong and deep and at the same time had a hint of emotions present in it.

" Thalius" Cessy responded, he couldn't explained what he felt on laying his eyes on Thalius, he didn't understand if it was guilt or loneliness.

" Oh great this is getting more interesting" Theodore said to Thaddeus.

" How have you been?" he said as he scanned Cessy from head to toe. Aine too couldn't understand the connection between Thalius and Cessy.

" I am very well as you can see" he answered smiling

" You haven't changed a bit, you still have that charming smile as before" he said as he grabbed Cessy's hand and slowly lifting it towards him mouth but was stopped as Fitz pulled Cessy's arm away, Fitz's action came as a shock to everyone standing outside.

" I think you should watch the places you lay your hands if they are still important to you" Fitz said in a fearful tone, he couldn't hide his displeasure to what just happened as he glared at Thalius.

" I am glad I didn't miss this I told you there was going to be drama" Theodore whispered to Thaddeus.

" I fail to see how me touching Cessy has anything to do with you, if I had crossed the line with Aine I would understand but if I am very well informed you got married to Aine not Cessy. And Cessy is a single prince that will soon get married" Fitz knew very well what Thalius said was the absolute truth, Cessy was nothing to him when standing outside but inside him. Cessy was his air.

" My exact question, it looks fishy" he whispered again

" Would you shut it" Thaddeus was forced to speak. " I don't think this is the time place for this kinds of questions, can we go inside" he added trying to get the situation in control.

" Are you crazy it was just about to get good" he said almost shouting.

" That's quite right we came to celebrate a banquet why can't we just let pass argument be?" Aine added he could obviously see the tension. But Fitz and Thaddeus were not ready to back down, they both looked like two alphas fighting over their mate.

" Cessy, where have you been" Eldon said as he rushed between them, he had been watching the scene . Almost immediately Cessy felt relived that this awkward situation was going to end.

" Hello gentlemen, welcome. I would like to steal my brother for a minute" he said as he quickly pulled Cessiar from Fitz and away from the tension.

The stares between Fitz and Thalius continued for a while before Fitz walked away followed by Aine.

" Thalius you shouldn't have done that" Thaddeus point out

" Oh my don't start, Thalius have every right to pursue Cessy right now, Fitz has no right to do what he just did, he is married to Aine not Cessy'' Theodore pointed out, Thalius didn't say a word but walked away as well.

" I can see you're enjoying this" Thaddeus said looking at the excitement plastered on his brother's face.

" You have no idea and I promise you by the end of these next 3 days things will be more fun, a king who protects his ex that he still sleeps with, then a stubborn King ready to steal his first love and a clueless king with no idea to the whole situation. This is definitely entertainment highly recommended" Theodore said with a mischievous smile. Thaddeus didn't know what to do or say at this point, hitting Theodore would have been nice but he couldn't, all he hoped for was he wouldn't go around causing trouble.
