CHAPTER TWELVE : CESSY AND ELDON

After what took place on the dance floor Aine and Fitz were to carry out another ritual together, Aine searched for him among the crowd with his eyes but he was nowhere to be seen

" I can't believe he actually got married to a peasant from such a bad clan" Aine could hear a voice whisper

" What bad luck, I thought we would be celebrating his love with prince Cessiar but here he is getting married to a Meath" another voice whispered

" I feel for him, he doesn't deserve this just because he's King, he hasn't smiled all through the wedding and here is this thief smiling from ear to ear" the group of voices continued behind him

" His clan is so greedy that they are forcing their son on our king"

" I heard he’s straight" another added

'' OMG, then why is he getting married to a gay king, thing people do for money and fame" Aine took a deep breath and was about to walk away because he really didn't have the time to talk back at the people gossiping but a voice stopped him from walking away

" Don't you ladies think this is a bit too harsh" the voice stated

" I thought gossips were supposed to be behind the person's back and not to their hearings, how is it your business what the King does with his life?, It's not like you make any contribution to the kingdom, all you do is go around gossiping" he added making the ladies feel embarrassed and shock, Aine turned around to see the person who stood up for him

" We are sorry, your highness" they apologized

" If you were to apologize to someone it wouldn't be me, it should be him" the voice said pointing towards Aine with a smile, the women hurriedly went in front of Aine

" We're sorry my lord, we apologize for our stupidity" they bowed down to show respect to him

" You're forgiven" Aine said giving them a fake smile and they took their leave.

" You didn't have to do that" he said turning towards the stranger, he had a striking resemblance to Cessy

" I can't just stand there and watch people gossiping about someone. I guess it's a habit" he said with a smile

" You must be Aine?" He extended his hand to shake him

" Yes and you are?"

" OH my apologies, I'm King Eldon from Ulster"

" That's why there is a resemblance, I guess you must be Cessiar's brother, right?"

" Yes, how do you know him?" Eldon asked

" We are very good friends, he helped me a lot when I moved into the palace for my training"

" Cessiar did that?" He was a bit confused he knew his brother was in Leinster all these while but been friends with Aine was difficult to understand

" Yes, he was nothing but kind he taught me a lot" Aine explained

' what's gotten into his head' Eldon whispered to himself, at this point he couldn't understand his brother, Aine could hear him murmur but couldn't make out him words

" Excuse me" he said trying to get him to speak out loudly

" oh I'm sorry I was wondering if you had seen him today during the wedding? I'm actually looking for him, I have no idea where he could be"

" I don't think I have seen him all day" Aine said trying to recall if he had actually seen Cessy

" Really? Where could he be?"

" You know the wedding is a bit crowded so I haven't had the chance to see him, but he has never mentioned having a brother before" Aine added

" Well that's because we aren't on good terms with each other” he said staring at Aine, there is something that intrigued him besides the face, yes he was good-looking and he looked hot in a tuxedo but he also looked clueless and new to royalty lifestyle, he could tell because Aine was not properly dressed and didn't actually give a damn about it to notice there was something wrong.

" Your shirt" Eldon said pointing trying to get him to adjust himself but he couldn't understand what he meant

" Here let me help you" he said arranging Aine's clothes, he felt a bit embarrassed but he tried his best to hide how he felt behind a smile

" Thank you"

" You're welcome, I would have really loved to talk to you a bit more but I have a little brother to find in this crowd and trust me he's not the nicest person when he's drunk"

" ah I understand" he said and nodded his head

" Then if you would, excuse me" he bowed

" I hope to see you around a little more often your Highness" he added before walking off, something about Eldon made Aine a bit flattered and he watched as the young king disappeared into the sea of people

" He's just as kind and well-mannered as his brother" Aine said to himself before walking off to continue his search for his beloved husband while Cessy was sitting outside the palace close to the field staring at the lights from the hall, he had a bottle of wine in his hand, crying and drinking himself to stupor. Chad walked by seeing him drunk and tried to get him to stop drinking but Cessy refused almost biting off his hands, Chad knew if he continued this way he would end up in a bad state and create a scene, so he went looking for Fitz and brought him to Cessy.

" Cessiar" Fitz called out as he rushed towards him

" Baby, where have you been and why are you drinking this much? Now you're drunk" he said taking a sit beside him on the field

" Oh loookk it's the groom" Cessiar stuttered, Fitz could clearly see the bottle of drinks both on the floor and in Cessy hand

" You know your Highness, how can I not get drunk" he said with a smile " As you can see, it's a big celebration, I just wanted to celebrate" he said still stuttering with a smile

" Great you are really drunk" Fitz spoke even though he was aware Cessiar hates been told that he was drunk

" I'm not drunk, look, I can stand on my own two feet" he said as he tried standing up and staggered back a bit

" Ok I understand you are not drunk, you don't have to prove it" Fitz held onto him and tried getting him to sit back down to prevent him from falling or getting himself injured but Cessy struggled and managed to stand

" See I'm standing" he said staring into Fitz eyes

" You know, I never thought I could survive seeing you get married but surprisingly I'm alive, how is that possible, I keep asking myself" he said as he wrapped his hands around Fitz's neck

" I know, I'm being a bit silly because I was the one who refused to get married to you years ago and now I forced you to get married to Aine but why am I still hurt?" he said as tears flowed down his eyes, Fitz stood up wrapping his arms around Cessy pulling him into a hug

" I feel like I can't breathe because I'm losing the most important person in my life" he said in between his sobs

'' You're not, Cessy I love you and nothing will change that"

" But that's a lie, in dramas you are to end up loving Aine and am left alone with nothing"

" That wouldn't happen, trust me" Fitz said

" you promise?" Cessiar said pulling out of the hug and staring back into Fitz eyes

" I promise, nothing will ever change between us, Cessy, you are my world and without you I don't feel complete that's how much I love you" he said using his hands to wipe off his tears

" I know you love me, I can't help it but feel I don't deserve it"

" You deserve more than my love, you deserve the world at your feet, you've been with me through the darkest times in my life and there is no way I would throw all those memories away, even if by tomorrow you will forget everything I just said because you are drunk, I still want you to know I love you"

" I told you I'm not drunk" Cessiar said frowning

" I know your Highness you're not drunk, look at you looking all red, you must have cried a lot"

" No I didn't" Cessy said pouting

" Just a little I am stronger than you you think" he added with a smile

" Yeah I'm aware of that before you start acting out, how about I take you to bed now" Fitz suggested

" But the ceremony isn't over yet"

" Without you being there I don't want to stay around as well"

" That's not right you should go"

" No I'm not leaving here without you, so what's it going to be?"

" Fine but you have to give me a piggy, I can't feel my legs they are too heavy" he said stretching out his hand

" And you keep saying you're not drunk"

" Am not" he rolled his eyes before carefully getting on Fitz's back, as they both walked back to the palace, Cessy fall asleep on Fitz's back

" Fitz" Eldon called out from a distance

" I wasn't aware you came"

" Yes I did, I didn't want him to cause a scene" he said pointing towards Cessy who was on his back

" Don't worry he's fine, he's just a bit drunk but fine and I'm going to take care of him, I think he just fell asleep" Fitz said

" But that not right you still have things to do for the ceremony, it's okay, I'll take him home" Eldon said

" I just want him to be fine and it will be better if he stays at home with his family" he added

" You're right, you're his family so you know what's better for him, I have no right to stop you but I just have one request"

" Which is?"

" I don't want to see anymore injuries or bruises on him, if by any chance I do, you're going to loose all right as his family"

" I assure you he's in safe hands” he said reassuring Fitz

" Very well then I'll take your word for it" he handed Caesar over to his brother

" I guess I'll be seeing him tomorrow then"

" Yes have a good night's rest" he said before walking off with Cessy in his arms, Eldon carefully placed his brother into the car staring at him for a while before smiling, he knew Cessy had a rough childhood but he was trying his best to make sure he gets to live his best life

" My Lord, shall we go?" asked the driver from the front of the car

" Yes, let's go, it's been a long day, we need to rest".

In a few minutes Fitz was back and the marriage ceremony came to a close.

" Finally, it all over !! " Fitz said under his breath but loud enough for Aine to hear.

After the wedding Fitz and Aine where left to share their happy married night together

Fitz opened the door to his room and it was fully decorate with flowers and candles , the whole atmosphere was filled with a divine scent, the bed was covered with veil curtains and on the bed were petals, Fitz chuckled knowing nothing of any sort was going to happen tonight with Aine.

He turned around to face Aine

" Please can you leave my room, I don't need to remind you where your place is " Fitz turned around looking for his phone

" I'm so sorry for what I said on the dance floor I d... "

" For once in your uncivilized life, can you just listen and actually obey " Fitz was really feed up he wasn't ready for any of Aine's bullshit, Aine on the other hand was irritated all he wanted to do was actually apologize to Fitz.

" You never miss an opportunity to insult me or look down on me , what is your problem, I'll really love to know Fitz , can you tell me " Fitz stopped what he was doing and turned back to face Aine

" You want to know what my problem is ? I'll tell you, it's you, Yes you Aine you and your entire clan, that's my problem, it's always the Meath destroying everything in their part, you and your clan are unwanted pest I'm trying to get rid of, does that answer your question ".

" And you think you're any better than us, do you ?" Aine asked , the words Fitz said were really hurtful because Meath clan were nothing like that.

" Well , do you ?, you dress up in a fancy ass suit all day judging case that doesn't need your help, when people who need the help are actually out there without a chance of fair trial and you stand here to look down on us, what does that make you ?. You have no idea how your people are doing and you sit here to talk to me about me and my clan being unwanted pest, when the farmer doesn't know how to take care of his farm what do you expect, pest and I'm here to assure you that these pest are not going anywhere anytime soon " Aine turned about to leave because he couldn't stand Fitz presence

" Aine " Fitz called out which made Aine stop his tracks

" Your clothes , please take them along with you, I don't want you in here for any reason what so ever " Aine couldn't be more pissed he thought Fitz was about to reason like a human but what could he expect.
