I guess you can say I was really nervous. Kat and I were just starting fresh after not being on good terms. As for Sam, we have never on good terms, at least not from my standpoint.
"Are you sure about this? We don't have to do this." Kian assured me.
"C'mon, we have to, it will be fine." I said stepping out of the car, flipping my hair over my shoulder. I was trying to refrain from playing with it, when I get nervous I start to pull at my ends.
We walked up to the huge wooden doors in front of her house, they were so beautiful, something out of a dream. Windows lined the sides, golden sunlight shining straight through. You can say I'm a sucker for beautiful homes like this one. By the time we got to the door, Kat was there to let us in. We were welcomed with a huge open front room with an amazing chandelier in the middle of the two ascending staircases which curved like a C. This was my dream home.
"You can leave your shoes there." She said pointing to a rug. "We are downstairs in the movie room, Sam is watching Americas Got Talent and is currently yelling at the screen." That made me laugh because I do that all the time. Kat seemed super chill, it put me at ease.
We walked down stairs to a huge open room with a small kitchen and a living room area. But through a small archway, we walked into the movie room which was lined with movie posters and red carpet. A popcorn machine was running in the back making the room smell like an AMC Movie Theatre. On one of the leather chairs was Sam laying comfortably watching the show on a massive flat screen. This place couldn't possibly be real, I was in heaven, and it was all over my face my astonishment.
"Hey guys!" I heard JC say from behind us as he walked into the room. I was surprised to see him here, but it made me even more comfortable. He was carrying 6 pop cans...6? Who else was here?
"I forgot to tell you I invited JC and Lia here," Kat said biting her lip. "Is that ok?"
"Yes of course!" Kian said as I was about to say the same thing.
"Okay so we have chips, candy, and drinks so help yourselves and we have The Quiet Place and Love, Simon on DVD. My dad is a producer for FOX so I swear we have every movie here." Kat told us smiling, she really was sweet and kind.
Kian and I took a seat on the ground with pillows and a blanket with the pretzel bowl in between us.
We first watched The Quiet Place, horror movies really were our thing. I loved them, and so did Kian. We cuddled together for most of the movie, I loved being in his arms. He comforted me, made me feel safe, even though I didn't get genuinely scared watching horror movies. Half way through, Kian said he had to use the bathroom and got up to go. As he walked out, Kat followed him.
