The Last Day

492 Words
The day before the last day of school was spent cleaning lockers, isn't that fun? But today was the day, the last day. Mindy gave me a perfect outfit to wear, a real step up from my usual attire. For a visual, I wore a yellow tee, high-waisted shorts Levi's, and checkered vans. I had my hair straightened and I even broke my 2 year long "no nailpolish" streak. And there in the morning I found myself using makeup, again, a little gift courtesy of Mindy. Kian must've arrived at my house a few minutes early because he came up into me room. "Holy s**t what did you do to Rosi?" He asked pointing at me in an up and down motion. "Oh shut up Kian, do I look okay?" I asked, his opinion meant everything to me. "Uhh, okay? More like amazing, gorgeous..." He trailed off. "You get the point". "Aww thank you." I said smiling not knowing what to do with my hands so I had them fidgeting behind my back. "Impressing Drew?" He asked which made me smile a little, just hearing his name. "Maybe" I said swaying to the left and right. "Let's take a picture!" I held out my phone, he grabbed me close and smiled. After the picture he looked down at me, in this moment I noticed how much shorter I am compared to him. "What?" I asked sort of embarrassed. "You look so pretty" he said smiling at me, how I loved his cute little smile. Friends can compliment friends can't they? I let out a small laugh and smirked at him. "Well we better get going" I said looking at the clock on my dresser. I grabbed bag and left, skipping out on breakfast like always. -quiet awkward ride to school- "Well we are here, go get him tiger" Kian said winking hinting toward Drew walking close by. "Adios my friend" I told him jumping out of his car. I walked toward Drew. "Holy crap, is that Rosi? When did she become a model?" He asked making me laugh a little. "Yeah it's me" I said shyly. We walked to get to our lockers, I spotted Mindy who watched us like hawks, smiling every single second. "So here's my class, goodbye beautiful" Drew said kissing my hand and walking into the boisterous room. I walked to my class, and school just went on. The last hour we go to go outside and hang out, the weather felt amazing. Drew and I talked during our free time and it was nice, a bit awkward as well. Then after school ended, I found Kian outside his car waiting for me. He seemed to be really happy. When I got up to him he gave me a huge hug. Naturally I blushed. "I missed you! And now, are you ready for our night?" He asked still holding me. "Of course." I said smiling up at him.
