Kat

That afternoon, Kian made me lunch and waited to my every need, he said I should stay in recovery mode. I was feeling better, more happy, and felt that all weight had lifted off my shoulders. In order to keep myself busy, I reactivated my old twitter, I needed the entertainment. I had an account setup but this was the first moment I decided to actually utilize it. I saw that from the first of the month, I had a DM from this girl named Kat. I recognized her from my math class but I never talked to her. She wanted to meet up with me and hangout, which I found to be quite odd. It was way out of the ordinary and she didn't seem all that trustworthy. "So, you like twitter?" Kian asked me sitting next to me eating fruit snacks. What I didn't tell him was that I had did look under his account. He had a lot of nice messages but I couldn't look past all of the hate he was receiving as well. "No, it's kind of stupid" I told him chucking my phone across the room after scrolling too deep under his indirect. Is this what people do for fun, degrade someone they don't even know? To hurt people that don't deserve it because they are jealous? They do their best to make others happy, what is wrong with people? "Why is it stupid?" He asked getting my phone and checking what I was looking at. "Kian don't read that stuff" I told him trying to grab my phone but he snatched it away now reading the tweets to himself. "Wow" he said locking my phone and fixing his hair, and then he just laughed. "You don't ever believe that stuff?" He laughed again. "You don't, right?" I asked waiting for a response. "No, of course not. I mean it used to, but I have too much positivity going on that I can easily ignore it." he said, smiling, reassuringly. "Okay good, just what I wanted to hear." I told him. I did end up telling Kat that I was going to be out of town and hanging out with a friend a lot so I wouldn't have the time. She read but did not reply. I checked out her twitter and I found a bit of a surprise. A picture was posted from today, of her, Drew, and Sam. This was news to me and Kian who uncomfortably looked at my phone when I showed him. "Do you know who this Kat is?" He asked. "Only from school, I don't actually know her though." I said honestly. From what I could recall, she never showed up to class on time, came to every football game drunk, didn't do group work, and her best friend is currently serving time in jail for underage drinking. So maybe I did know a lot, but that was just all gossip. But I guess now she is with Drew AND Sam. It concerned me, mostly for Sam. I could care less about Drew, obviously. "So why is she with Drew and my best friend?" He asked literately pissed, like I knew the answer or something. "Hell I don't know Kian, why don't you ask him?" I told him. He knows I don't know who Kat it, he trusts me on that. I could just tell he was pissed at Sam's poor judgment, for the millionth time. "I'm sorry." he said yawning and closing his eyes. In that moment, he looked too cute that I rested my head on his shoulder which I could surprising reach because of the major height difference. And, not surprisingly, we fell asleep.
