By this point in time, Porter was practically begging me, and I too knew the consequences if I completed my Earthquake spell. Naturally, I would be fine given how strong my defenses were, but they were all weak mages and we were inside of a classroom. They would be buried alive if the building collapsed.
Since they were willing to voluntarily admit defeat, I could not be bothered to waste my strength. In the first place, I had not planned to push them so far either. I just wanted to scare them with the fact that I was an Adept Magician, that was all. However, I was also confident that I could control my strength well enough that I could merely counter anything they could throw my way, which would be enough to send them a message.
