"Ugh! Why her? You could have picked anyone else Damien" Jessica gagged with an exaggerated roll of her eyes.
"Then why were you picked? Lucien could have picked anyone else but you." Damien fired back.
"Hmph" she gave a ladylike snort and looked away from us but not before glaring at me.
I suddenly felt someone's gaze on me, I turned and saw Alpha Lucien looking at me with a searching gaze, I didn't want anyone to see him staring at me so I shifted and went to stand at Damien's other side, he looked at me with a puzzled expression but I just smiled at him in answer.
