I tried to sit up and said “M-Mr. Madrid? G-good morning.”
He made a move towards me but when he noticed the two men on either side of me, he stopped. He then asked “What happened?”
The three men are now standing around my bed. They were all quite tall and imposing. My eyes focused on Jax.
Luisa: “I-it’s just a stomach ulcer, sir. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to advise you directly that I wouldn’t be able to work today.”
Jax: “It’s fine. Don’t worry about it. How are you feeling?”
I can see in his eyes that he was worried. If only I could tell him that the news of his engagement is the reason why I was hospitalized, I would have. But then again, it would be unfair to blame him for my current situation. I also couldn’t bear blaming him with his eyes looking so worried.
Luisa: “I’m okay now
