THE next day, I got ready for work early. Renee invited me to have breakfast at her apartment before we went to work.
I cooked rice while I prepared my work clothes. When the rice was cooked, I prepared chicken pochero to bring for lunch. I cooked enough so I’ll have some leftovers that I could eat for dinner.
Once it was cooked, I took a shower and got ready for work. I wore a sleeveless black dress that’s a few inches below the knee, and paired it with a black blazer and black three inch heels. I’ve gotten used to wearing heels since these are the only shoes I had that fit the dress. I didn’t really want to wear an all black ensemble, but my other clothes were a little crumpled and I didn’t want to go to the office wearing them. I will have to ask Renee later if she had a clothes iron
