I stiffened when I saw Vera, and more so when she went inside the elevator. She was standing at the front near the buttons, while Jax and I were at the back. Jax must have felt my discomfort and he whispered at me “She smells kinda funky. It’s like she hasn’t showered in a few days.” I couldn’t help but chuckle because Vera does smell unpleasant. I’ve actually smelled her like this before, and it’s usually when she’s going to the gym. She doesn’t usually shower before leaving the house. I covered my mouth as I tried to control my chuckle, while Jax chuckled with me. Vera turned around and said “Were you laughing at me?” Jax: “No, Vera.
