DANTE'S POV. The car hummed quietly at my back, the engine already warmed up and ready. I leaned against the car door, arms folded, eyes fixed on the ground in front of me. Scott stood beside me calmly as we waited. Patience came easier to him than breathing. But patience was not always my strength. At least not today.
