Caly’s POV (Blue Moon’s Bite) ‘I need to run.’ For once I’m on board with the idea of running a marathon. I take off the necklace and drop it into Tucker’s hand. My head is filled with jumbled-up thoughts, but one thing is clear, I don’t want to be responsible for ruining a family heirloom. I hitch up my skirt in two hands and run up the stairs. The cleaning staff eye me warily, but I don’t care. I go out the first door I find and strip naked without worrying who might see me. I shift and make a break for the trees. The patrol keeps their distance, but I go no more than three minutes between seeing another pair of eyes.
