Kai’s P.o.v

Pain, constant pain. That vampire really did a number on me, Belli? Is she fine? “Yes, she’s fine. Don’t worry, you’re healing rapidly.” An unfamiliar voice said in my head, it’s a… girls? I hear chanting, and warmth… Almost like when I was scared of the dark as a pup, how Rose would comfort me then wrapped me up in a blanket. The pain disappeared as quickly as I came to, feeling pain and unable to open my eyes, I saw green that was gone in a flash. Slowly I opened my eyes, “hey, little girl? Are you okay? Sunflower? Dammit, I don’t want someone else hurt because of me.” I hear my beautiful mates voice, she thinks my foolishness is her fault? I sit up and see a young girl unconscious on my bed, Belli looks at me and her eyes widen, “Kai, you’re okay? OMG SHE HEALED YOU?!” She yelled and hugged me tightly, I hugged her back but was surprised that I wasn’t feeling any pain after the abuse my ribs took from that woman. Suddenly Belli turned toward the little girl on my bed, “who is she? Where did she come from?” She looked at me and shrugged, “her name is Sunflower, but I don’t know where she came from, she did say Kari’s name which is strange. But… she healed you I guess. She must be a witch, but she isn’t just a witch is she? Her blood smells different to me, like yours.” I lean in and take a whiff of her, nods and holds Belli close. “Oh yeah, she’s a wolf shifter’s child. But also a witch, very strange. Witches and wolves aren’t mates often, we don’t usually get along with each other. I’ll mind link Rose and see is she knows more about this girl.” She nods and squeezes my hand as I open my mind link to Rose, ‘Hey Rose, you around?’ After a few seconds her shocked voice echoed in my head, ‘Kai? How are you able to mind link me right now?’ I shake my head ‘I’ll explain when you get here, but do you know anything about some little girl named Sunflower? She’s passed out basically on my lap.’ ‘OH MY GOD! I’M ON MY WAY AND BRINGING KARI.’ She screamed in my mind and it all went silent after that, “well she’s on her way with Kari, we’ll see them soon.” I said softly, I pull her up on the bed with me and cuddle her, she smiles contently then cuddles closely to me. “How’s the baby? Are you okay?” She looks at me and rubs my chest, “the baby is fine, and I am as well.” 

Rose’s P.o.v

Hearing Kai's voice was a miracle to me, how was he awake? What does this have to do with Sunflower? Should I be worried? I take Kari's hand and drag him out of the house, "where are we going?" He asked me, I didn't respond for a minute trying to collect my own thoughts, "Kai's awake and fine, but I'm worried about Sunflower. He said she was passed out on his bed, and we may have just met her but I'm worried." Before Kari could respond I dragged him into the infirmary, "Rose how would Sunflower know about your brother and where to go? How is she unconscious in his bed?" He asked me as we walked up to the second floor and towards the end of the hall, I didn’t respond as we walk into Kai’s room. I see Kai and Belli cuddling and Sunflower passed out on the bed, I ran over to the bed and pick her up, “Belli what happened?” I asked as Kari hugged me and Sunflower while making eye contact with both of them. “Well it’s like this, I went outside for a walk and to check on you guys when these kids ran in front of me and she was the only one to stop and apologise but stopped mid-sentence and walked toward the infirmary asking who was hurt that I was torn up ‘bout it, then walked in. I followed her of course and she walked in here without me showing her the way, and said she could help him out if I put her on the bed. So I did, and it was all weird because I didn’t know she was a wolf and witch, so when her eyes were glowing green and she was chanting some strange stuff I was dumbfounded. When Kai was wrapped up in the green stuff it clicked that this little girl was helping him, healing him, so when she passed out I was worried. Then Kai sat up and looked at us both, she healed him and it was a miracle for this girl to heal him.” Kari and I stared at Belli and looked at each other, we knew she was a witch’s daughter but actually knowing how to heal people? It was remarkable, then again we didn’t know a thing about witches, or hybrid ones. I nodded and looked at Kai, “I’m glad she was able to heal you, even more glad you’re alive.” He smiled at me then sat up more, “come on sis, don’t look at me like that. I’m fine thanks to that little girl, it’s not your fault nor Belli’s… I was reckless and didn’t wait longer or bit down harder. I know you feel bad but it’s fine, I will be fine and it will all be alright.” Kari took Sunflower from my arms and held her closely, I looked at both of them lovingly then glanced at my brother and Belli, “well Belli I trust you to take care of my brother, you are his mate after all. We will be going now, we will see you two… now three later.” 

Kari’s P.o.v

After seeing Sunflower passed out like that I felt scared for her, which shocked me yet didn’t at once, I’d already thought of raising her as my own but the shocked had sealed my commitment to raising her. It had been an hour since she’d healed Kai, and we had the pack doctor check her out, to my surprise the doctor wasn’t originally from this pack but he had experience with helping out witches in the past. “I’m surprised that a girl her age was able to heal a grown wolf. Especially a hybrid pup witch, she’s fine and will sleep soundly all this evening, as soon as she wakes up give her plenty of water for she will be very thirsty. Do you have a comfortable place for her to sleep? She will need it.” Rose nodded. I barely had paid attention in the whole situation, I only cared for Sunflower’s health and if she was okay, when those concerns were answered I had mentally checked out of the conversation. Before realizing it we were in Rose’s house and she was trying to take Sunflower out of my arms, I let her and looked at her a little concerned, “should we really leave her here instead of our room?” I said not really wanting to leave Sunflower alone, one look at her and the mate bond made me even more aware of her feelings, she wanted to be alone with me. My concern was pushed to the back of my mind as I followed her to our room, for alone time without Sunflower around. As soon as the door shut she ripped my shirt a bit as she pulled it off, I ripped hers off completely and yanked off her pants and panties, she pulled my pants off as I grab her ass and pick her up pressing her against the wall kissing her deeply.
