“Aunt Belli, where mommy and daddy?” Lillie asked as she reached for Kai to pick her up, I rocked her little sister gently to sleep. “They went to get out at a restaurant. You don’t eat a lot of human food anymore, do you?” Lillie hugged Kai and looked at me, “no, lot of mice and birds.” I smiled as I watched Kai ruffled her hair, it was common for our kind to start hunting small prey like that, on the transition from human food to a full blood diet. However some vampires, like my eldest brother Kari, cannot take a full blood diet. Their bodies can’t handle the blood and often rejects it via vomiting.
