HAYDEN
I walked into the boys locker room, wiping myself with a towel. I had gone to take a bath after our basketball practice. I had already worn my shirt and hung the towel around my neck as I walked towards the boys.
"But who is that girl?? She looked mysterious"! I heard them whisper around themselves. I furrowed my brows and shrugged.
"Hey guys"! I greeted walked towards them and shaking hands with all of them as they also muttered greetings to me too.
"This year's competition is going to be tough. I can feel it"! Marco said, sipping the drink he held in his hand.
"Yeah! The Red Devil's team are really strong"! Richard, another friend of mine voiced out and I sighed.
"That's why we should practice more and strive to win. We should also cooperate with each other and have faith in ourselves"! I said as a matter-of- factly and everyone nodded, muttering words of encouragement to each other. As the basketball captain, it is my job to cheer them up and motivate them.
"Hey boys, have you seen the trending news on the school net"? One of the team member asked and I furrowed my brows.
"What news"? Marco asked.
I rolled my eyes, looking pissed. The school net is just a place for gossips and nothing else that's why I feel uninterested to hear whatever news from the school net.
"It's Astrid! She was embarrassed by a girl"! Someone said.
Huh??
"By who"? Richard asked.
"The Astrid I know cannot be bullied or embarrassed by anybody. So who is this girl"?
"Sources said that she was a new girl. They said she looked weird. She was putting on a black hoodie, covering most of her face"! The guy replied.
I widened my eyes!
That was the same girl I mistakenly hit with a ball.
Gray eyes!!!
Surprised right??
Yeah, I don't know her name so I gave her gray eyes.
I don't know why she had to hide her face like that. She was wearing a big black hoodie with big black pants and boots, covering every part of her body.
Strange right??
She is different!!
The only thing I know about her is that she had golden brown hair and shinning gray eyes.
I tilt my head and continued to listen to their conversation as they talked about what happened at the cafeteria today.
This gray eyes girl sure is one strong willed person!!!!!
KYRA
I walked into the house and met Spark, waiting patiently for me at the door.
"Awwwwn!! Good boy"!! I said, bending down and ruffling his white fur as he whined and licked my cheek.
I smiled!
"I miss you too Spark"!
"Hey sweetie, you are back"! I turned to look up and I saw Auntie Kath, smiling down at me.
"Aunt"! I called, surprised as I stood up.
"Why are you home this early"? I asked and she gave me a warm smile.
"I wanted to come home and cook for you". She replied and I nodded back walked towards the kitchen.
"How was school today? Did you like it"? She asked and I noticed the excitement in her voice.
"It's okay auntie"! I replied, pouring myself a glass of water.
"Did you made new friends"? She asked and I paused, as my face turned into a big frown.
"I rather die than make friends"! I replied coldly and gulped down the glass of water. Each gulp I took felt like I was drinking in resentment, hate and burning desire of vengeance.
I turned to look at my aunt and she looked at me sadly.
"I'll be upstairs". I said as I walked past her and wanted to climb up the stairs but her voice stopped me.
"Kyra"! She called and I paused, but I didn't turn back.
"Uhmmmm, your doctor's appointment is by 4 in the evening". She said, in a small sad voice and I closed my eyes, feeling the burning tears in my eyes.
I opened the door of my room and slammed the door shut as I slumped to the door and let the tears pour out.
When will I be free!!
When will I be free from this despair, from this pain, trauma and hurt in my heart??
When???
I wrapped my arms around myself and cried.
I tried wiping the tears from my eyes but they just kept pouring down.

"Do you still have nightmares"??
"Yes"!!
"Do you still have anxiety attacks"?
My therapist asked and I nodded, trying to stop the tears that threatened to pour down.
She scribbled down somethings in her notebook and turned to look at me.
There was pity and sadness in her eyes and I turned away and lowered my gaze to my laps.
She tried touching me and I flinched, maintaining a big frown on my face.
She gave me a small smile and scribbled down something on her note again.
"Continue to take your medicines Kyra. Just trust me, you'll be alright"!! She said softly.
Trust!!
Trust lost its meaning in my life a long time ago!!!
