Alexandria POV
"Cara, Caden, please stop running!" I exclaimed, rolling my eyes at both of them. Their relationship seemed to swing between being the worst of enemies one moment and the best of friends the next. "You both just turned ten, so act like it!" I called out to them.
"It's Caden's fault," Cara complained. "He wants to eat the cake alone," she said.
"But there are other cakes here, so why do you want that one?"
Cara halted, flipping her hair in front of me with her usual attitude. "Because it's supposed to be mine," she stated. "It's a pink cake, which is just for girls!" she complained.
Caden laughed and stuck out his tongue at her. "Who says boys can't have the pink cake?" he said, starting to dance.
