My eyes widened as I witnessed the horror reflected in the Luna Queen's eyes. She never anticipated that I would dare to slap her, given the strict rule of the Royal Family. I cared little for those conventions, though. The Luna Queen had earned every bit of that slap through the torment she had inflicted upon me. If given the chance, I would have repeated the action without hesitation.
"That's my girl," Ressa's laughter echoed in my mind. "Shall I take charge and give her a taste of her own medicine? Her royal status means nothing to me. Just guide me, and I'll handle it."
"No," I responded firmly. "I'm done with being her pawn. I'll slap her again, hierarchy be damned!"
