(Arya's Pov) I couldn't sleep that night, thinking about the interview. I had never worked as a waitress before, but I was determined to learn and to make the best out of it. "What if I mess up?" I asked my mom, feeling anxious. "You'll do fine, Arya," my mom said, smiling. "Just be yourself and show them how eager you are to learn, I trust you my dear you have potentials." I nodded, feeling a bit better. I spent the rest of the night rehearsing my responses to common interview questions. The next day, I woke up early and got dressed in my best outfit. I looked at myself in the mirror and took a deep breath. "You got this, Arya," I said to myself. I arrived at the café 15 minutes before the interview. Sarah, the manager, greeted me warmly and led me to a small office in the back. (Sarah's Pov) "So, Arya, tell me a bit about yourself," Sarah said, smiling. I started speaking as I had planned to speak since last night , telling her about my passion for helping others and my eagerness to learn new skills. Sarah listened attentively, nodding her head from time to time. "What makes you think you'd be a good fit for this job?" she asked. I thought for a moment before responding. "I'm a quick learner, and I'm not afraid of hard work. I'm also very patient and can handle stressful situations and people's temperament." Sarah smiled, like she loves my answer. "Well, Arya, thank you for coming in today. We'll be in touch soon to let you know our decision." I left the café feeling hopeful. I had done my best, and now all I could do was wait and as my mom would say"Let God take the lead". As I walked home, I became very excited even when I was not sure of the outcome but I was so optimistic about the whole thing. Maybe this was the start of something new and better. ******* (Mrs Arnold Pov) I got home and found my mom sitting in the living room, watching TV. She looked up at me and smiled. "How was the interview?" she asked. I sat down next to her and gisted her on all the details. My mom listened attentively, nodding her head from time to time. "I'm so proud of you, Arya," she said, when I finished. "You're taking control of your life and making things happen." I smiled, feeling happy and relieved. My mom was right. I was taking control of my life, and it felt amazing. The rest of the day passed slowly, with me checking my phone every few minutes, waiting for a call or text from the café. "Mom What if they didn't call? What if I didn't get the job?" I said feeling very anxious. "Arya, you will get the job" My mom reassured. I tried to push the thoughts aside and focus on other things. I helped my mom with her physical therapy, and then we watched a movie together. But my mind kept wandering back to the interview and the possibility of getting the job. As the night drew to a close, I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, trying to calm my thoughts. The next morning, I woke up feeling anxious. I checked my phone, but there were no messages or calls from the café. I tried to push the thoughts aside and focus on my daily routine. I helped my mom with her breakfast, and then I got ready for the day. As I was getting ready, my mom called out to me. "Arya, can you come here for a minute?" I walked into the living room, where my mom was sitting on the couch. She looked up at me with a serious expression. "What's wrong, Mom?" I asked, feeling a sense of concern. "I just wanted to talk to you about something," she said. "I know you're waiting to hear back from the café, but I want you to be prepared for anything. You might not get the job, and that's okay. We'll figure something out."she added. (Sarah's Pov) Just then, my phone rang. I looked at the screen and saw that it was the café. My heart skipped a beat as I answered the call. "Arya, this is Sarah from the café," she said. "We'd like to offer you the job as a waitress. "Thank you so much," I said, trying to contain my excitement. "I won't let you down." Sarah laughed. "I know you won't. We'll see you tomorrow at 9 am for training." I hung up the phone, feeling proud of myself and grateful to God. I had done it! I had taken control of my life and made something happen. I turned to my mom, who was smiling at me. "I got the job, Mom," I said, feeling tears of joy welling up in my eyes. My mom hugged me tightly. "I'm so proud of you, Arya. You deserve this." I hugged her back, feeling grateful and relieved. I had taken the first step towards creating a better life for myself and my mom. And I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, I was ready to face them head-on. ****** (Ayra's Pov) As the day drew to a close, I started to think about what I needed to do to prepare for my first day of work. I needed to iron my uniform, and make sure I had all the necessary equipment. My mom noticed that I was getting anxious and sat me down. "Arya, you're going to be fine," she said. "Just relax and be yourself. You've got this." My mom was right. I had prepared well for this moment, and I was ready to take on whatever challenges came my way. The next morning, I woke up feeling nervous but excited. This was it! My first day of work! I got dressed in my uniform, grabbed my bag, and headed out the door. My mom waved goodbye, and I set off towards the café. As I walked in, I was greeted by Sarah, who showed me to the staff room. "Okay, Arya, let's get started," she said. "I'll show you around and introduce you to the rest of the team." As the day went on, I met the rest of the team, and started to learn the ropes. It wasn't easy, but I was determined to do my best. At the end of the day, Sarah called me into her office. "Arya, I just wanted to say how impressed I am with your first day," she said. "You're so natural." I beamed with pride, feeling happy and relieved. I had done it! I had survived my first day of work! As I walked home, I had a lot to think about. What would the future hold? Would I be able to make a better life for myself and my mom? Only time would tell, but for now, I was just happy to have taken the first step towards a brighter future. Then I looked forward to going to work everyday.
