Chapter 3: A New Opportunity

(Arya's Pov) Ever since I started working at the cafe, it was from learning one but I was determined to do my best. As the days went by, I started to get into the swing of things. I learned how to take orders, serve food and drinks, and handle difficult customers. One customer in particular stood out to me. He was a tall, handsome man with a charming smile. He comes in every day, to order a cup of coffee and a pastry. He was always friendly and polite, and he seemed to genuinely care about the people around him. It got to a point, I found myself looking forward to his visits. He was a bright spot in my day, and I felt happy whenever he was around. One day, as I was serving him his usual order, he looked up at me and smiled. "You know, you're one of the best waitresses I've ever encountered here," he said. "You're always so friendly and kind." I blushed, feeling happy and proud. "Thank you, sir. That means a lot to me." The man smiled again. "My name is John, by the way. And you are...?" "I'm Arya," I replied, smiling at him. John nodded. "Well, Arya, it's nice to meet you. I'll see you around." As John left the café, I was so excited. I had a feeling that I would be seeing a lot more of him. And as it turned out, I was right. John came in every day, and we started to chat more and more. One day, as we were talking, John mentioned that he knew someone who might be able to help me. "I have a friend who's looking for a maid but he's in Switzerland," he said. "Would you be interested?" I raised an eyebrow, surprised. "A maid? In Switzerland? That sounds like a big opportunity." John nodded. "Yes, it is. My friend is a wealthy businessman, and he's looking for someone to take care of his household. He's willing to sponsor your visa and provide a comfortable living arrangement." I thought about it for a moment. It sounded like a great opportunity, but I wasn't willing to leave my mom behind. "What kind of job is it?" I asked John. "And what's the pay like?" John smiled. "My friend is willing to offer a competitive salary, and the job comes with a lot of benefits. As for the job itself, you'll be taking care of his household, cooking, cleaning, and running errands. It's a lot of responsibility, but I think you'd be perfect for the job." I thought about it some more and it was a big thing to decide, but I felt like it could be a great opportunity for me. "Okay, I'm interested," I said finally. "What's the next step?" John smiled, pulling out his phone. "I'll set up a meeting between you and my friend. He'll interview you and see if you're a good fit for the job." I nodded, feeling a sense of excitement. This could be the opportunity I'd been waiting for. (John's Pov) As I watched Arya's face light up with interest, I was so happy with it. I had been coming to this café for weeks, and I had been impressed by Arya's kindness and work energy. I had been thinking about my friend's job opening, and I thought Arya would be perfect for the position. She was hardworking, responsible, and had a great attitude. As I explained the job details to Arya, I could see her trying to measure the situation left and right. She was considering the opportunity, balancing it with her comfortability. I smiled to myself as I watched her. I had a feeling that she was going to take the job, and I was excited to see how things would work out. " I'm interested," Arya said again, looking up at me with a smile. I grinned, feeling happy for her. As I walked out of the café, I thought about her, maybe this job would be the opportunity Arya needed to turn her life around. And maybe, just maybe, it would lead to something more. ******** (Mrs. Arnold's Pov) I was sitting in my favorite armchair, watching TV, when Arya came home from work. She looked excited, and I could tell that something was on her mind. "Mom, guess what?" she said, hardly able to contain her excitement. "What is it, dear?" I asked, smiling at her. "A customer at the café, John, told me about a job opportunity in Switzerland," she said. "He wants to set up a meeting between me and his friend, who's looking for a maid." I raised an eyebrow, surprised. "Switzerland? That's a big decision, Arya. Are you sure you're ready for that?" Arya nodded, determination in her eyes. "I think it could be a great opportunity, Mom. And I'll be able to provide for us better." I smiled, feeling proud of my daughter. She was growing up and taking charge of her life. I could see the excitement in Arya's eyes, and I knew that she was serious about this opportunity. As her mother, it was my job to support her and help her make the right decision. "Arya, I want you to think carefully about this," I said, trying to be protective. "Moving to Switzerland is a big deal. You'll be far away from me, and you'll have to adjust to a new culture and way of life." Arya nodded, taking my words into consideration. "I know, Mom. But I feel like this could be a great opportunity for me. And I'll be able to provide for us better." I smiled. "Okay, dear. If you're sure this is what you want, then I'll support you. But promise me you'll be careful and think things through before making any decisions." Arya hugged me tightly. " Thank you for supporting me every now and then." ***** (Arya's Pov) I felt relieved as I hugged my mom. I knew that she would always be there to support me, no matter what. As I pulled back from the hug,I got a call from John. He asked that I come to the cafe. "Mom, I have to go," I said, grabbing my bag. "John is here, and I need to talk to him about the job." My mom nodded, smiling. "Okay, dear. Go and take care of things. I'll be here, waiting to hear all about it." I smiled, feeling grateful for my mom's support. I knew that I could always count on her, no matter what.
