Chapter 5: Saying Goodbye

994 Words
(Arya's Pov) I walked out of the café, feeling hopeful. The interview with Fred had gone well, and I had a feeling that I was going to get the job. As I walked home, I couldn't help but think about Fred. He seemed like a great guy, and I enjoyed talking to him. When I got home, my mom was waiting for me in the living room. "How did the interview go?" she asked, looking anxious. I smiled, trying to reassure her. "It went well, Mom. I think I have a good chance of getting the job." My mom smiled back, looking relieved. "That's great, dear. I'm so proud of you." I hugged her, feeling grateful for her support. "Thanks, Mom. I couldn't have done it without you." The next day, I received an email from Fred. My heart was racing as I opened it and read the message. Dear Arya, I wanted to personally reach out to you and tell you I was very impressed with your interview. You have a great attitude and excellent skills, and I think you would be a great fit for the position of the private housemaid. I would like to offer you the job as my personal maid. The salary is competitive, and you will have a comfortable place to live. Please let me know if you are interested, and we can discuss the details further. Best regards, Fred I was overjoyed. I had gotten the job! I replied immediately and he told me John would handle the rest of it. I immediately called my mom and told her the news. She was happy, and we spent the rest of the day celebrating. As I was celebrating, I received a call from John. "Hey, Arya. I heard from Fred that you got the job. Congratulations!" "Thanks, John," I replied. "I couldn't have done it without your help." "No problem, Arya," John said. "I'm just glad I could help. You're going to do great in Switzerland." I smiled,"Thanks, John. I'll make sure to stay in touch." As I hung up the phone, my heart was glad, so by the weekend I'll be traveling to Switzerland, and it's looking like a dream come true already. I can't wait to work for Fred and be a good personal maid. (Mrs Arnold's Pov) The day is finally here and I am watching as Arya packed her bags, I couldn't believe she was leaving. It felt like just yesterday she was a little girl, running around the house and playing with her toys. "Arya, are you sure you have to go?" I asked, trying to hold back tears. Arya turned and smiled at me. "I have to, Mom. This is a great opportunity for me. I'll be able to provide for us and have a better life." I nodded, trying to understand. I knew Arya was grown and needed to make her own decisions, but it was hard to let her go. "When will I see you again?" I asked, trying not to let out my tears. Arya came over and hugged me. "I'll come back and visit, Mom. And you can come visit me in Switzerland too." I smiled, feeling a little better. I knew Arya was going to do great things, and I was proud of her. As Arya finished packing and said her goodbyes, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness. My baby was leaving me in this place alone, although I had people to come help me out but it can't ever be like my own child. But as I watched Arya walk out the door, I knew I had to be strong. I had to let her go and trust that she would make the right decisions. I took a deep breath and smiled, feeling happy as a mother for raising such a gentle soul. She was going to do great things, and I would be here to support her every step that She takes. (Arya's Pov) I arrived in Switzerland feeling very tired but also excited. As I went through customs and immigration, I felt amazed. Everything was new and different from what I was used to. As I exited the airport, I saw a driver holding a sign with my name on it. I walked over to him and introduced myself. "Welcome, Arya," he said with a smile. "I'm here to take you to Mr. Fred's house." I nodded and followed him to the car. As we drove through the streets of Geneva,I checked around and the city looked so beautiful, with its stunning architecture and nice streets. We eventually arrived at Mr. Fred's house, which was a stunning mansion overlooking Lake Geneva. I was shocked for a moment because it was a really big house. The driver smiled and handed me my luggage. "Welcome to your new home, Arya." I smiled back and took a deep breath. I was ready to start my new life in Switzerland. Just as I was about to enter, a young lady came out and smiled at me. “Hello jessy, my name is mercy I oversee the house, please come with me” she said. I followed Mercy to a big wooden door. She knocked softly, and a voice said, "Come in." Mercy opened the door, and I went inside. The room was big and beautiful, with a great view of Lake Geneva. A man stood up from behind a big desk, smiling at me. "Hello, Arya," he said. "I'm Fred." I smiled back and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Fred." Fred asked me to sit down, and I did. "Was your trip okay?" he asked. I nodded. "Yes, it was. Thank you." Fred smiled. "Good. I think you'll be great for my household." I smiled, feeling happy. "Thank you, Mr. Fred." Fred said, "Mercy will show you to your room. We'll talk more later." I stood up, smiling. "Thank you, Mr. Fred."
