I sat down at my station with the excitement of knowing that I was going to be observing hominids that were in the process of evolving into something that will eventually become something like us. The study of early man had to be discontinued two hundred years ago when the United States entered into a worldwide conflict and struggle with the Muslims. We lifted off and began our mission. About 20 miles out from our settlement there was a large mountain range and some of these mountains were as high as or higher than the Himalayan Mountains on Earth.
