Ina was still asleep as I got out of bed, took a shower and got dressed. My emergency suitcase was already packed with enough clothing for a 30-day mission. I carried the bag into the kitchen where I fixed a cup of coffee and toasted a piece of bread. Within minutes, I was out the door and heading for the launch pad where three Landers were being fueled.
When I arrived, LTJG Franklin was already there overseeing the fueling. He was going to be the Commander of Lander 2, while I will take Command of Lander 1 and Lieutenant Garcia will be Commanding of Lander 3.
