The Advance Team

When I arrived home, I told Ina that I had volunteered to go with the advance team in two weeks and as I anticipated she was not happy. She emphasized that my first duty was to be here with her through the pregnancy and the birth of our child. Of course, in my opinion, the recapture of our home planet took precedence. After all, I was an officer in the United States Army who had taken an oath to defend the Constitution, and if necessary, sacrifice my life for that cause. I had volunteered for the most important mission of my life and I would see it through to the end.
