As I was standing at the bar getting a drink, Ajani came into the dinner party. Our eyes always seem to find each other, and my heart always seem to skip a beat. I feel a strong mental and physical connection to him, and I can’t describe it. Travis comes behind me and says, “Can we talk?” I say, “Sure.” I tipped the bartender for my drink, and we walked out on the deck.
“Bryna’ I have something to tell you.”
“Ok, what is it, Travis?”
“I’m not going back home with you. I have to go to California for work.”
“Wow, really Travis…”
“Yes, this client is very important… If I finish the contract, I will get the partnership.”
“Travis, I think we should end this relationship. Our jobs seem to find a way to come in between us.”
