I finished the pastries, wondering if Xander would pick them up or not. I tried to clean myself up. He was right; my whole face was covered in flour. Liza wanted me to run some errands. I had an inkling she wanted me out. I couldn’t keep stalling. I went up to my apartment for a quick change and went out. Liza needed some fresh fruit from the market anyway. This whole town seemed like a fairytale. There were flowers everywhere. When I arrived at the market, I bought some blueberries, raspberries, and some bananas. I walked over to the park and sat on one of the benches. It was nice being outside, the sun on my skin. The smell of flowers. Kids were playing. Everyone looked happy with their life here.
