I arrived at the training ground, realizing how close it was to the castle. Kira wasn’t pushing me towards it anymore. She felt more at ease; she wasn’t ghosting me anymore. I was one of the first to arrive. I didn’t recognize anyone. Some people from the market maybe, but I always kept to myself. I walked over to the massive guy standing with a clipboard in his hands.
“Excuse me, my name is Kira. Xander told me to come,” I said, trying to hide the nervous tremble in my voice.
This giant glanced at me with a stern look on his face before his eyes focused back on his clipboard. “You must be Xander’s girl. I’m Jonathan.” His voice didn’t match his scary looks. He sounded kind and sweet.
