The buzzing in my mind made me stir in my sleep. It seemed as if someone was calling me from afar, someone that was out of reach. Was I dreaming? “Get up, Elizabeth, you need to go.” The voice was calm, soothing even. It felt familiar somehow. “Wake up honey, you need to wake up.” The voice was getting louder and louder. “WAKE UP!” I jumped awake, breathing heavily. I glanced around but there was nobody there. Only then did I notice it was still dark outside. I must have slept the entire day. I was still in Izaiah’s room, but he must have left.
