31 31 Lydia LydiaLydiaIt can’t be true, she thinks. He is wrong! When I get there, she will be in her room, lifeless, but alive. She’s not dead! Lydia doesn’t know the speed limit, but she knows she is going around 80 mph. Her eyes dart from the road in front of her to the rearview mirror. She is trying to keep an eye out for cops. This is a residential neighborhood, and so the speed limit is most likely 25 mph, but she doesn’t care. She has to get to the hospital. Looking into the rearview mirror again she sees dark black skid marks. Evidence she had been there. Almost there! “Hurry up! Hurry up!” she screams at everyone and no one. Beating her fists
