Chapter Thirty-One

The next ten minutes passed without me being conscious of it. My eyes stared up at the blue of the sky as I wished that I could suddenly be sucked into it and escape the Hell that I had somehow wandered into. A shadowy flock of birds flitted through my vision. I watched them with envy wishing I could grow wings of my own. A few feet away, I could hear the sound of Talon’s belt as he buckled his pants. The only thing that I was aware of was the fact that Talon’s weight was lifted off of me. I could feel a breeze blow lightly over my face and body. I could feel he wind graze over the exposed skin on my thighs at the same time that wind chilled the tears that encased my face. I shivered, suddenly feeling exposed. I could feel Talon staring at me, but I couldn’t bring myself to look at him. I
