The next ten minutes passed without me being conscious of it. My eyes stared up at the blue of the sky as I wished that I could suddenly be sucked into it and escape the Hell that I had somehow wandered into. A shadowy flock of birds flitted through my vision. I watched them with envy wishing I could grow wings of my own. A few feet away, I could hear the sound of Talon’s belt as he buckled his pants.
